User journey workshop with Estienne School students
By Ilana 27-01-2016
On the occasion of the Bégin military hospital renovation, the students of the Estienne School were asked to review the building signage. In this context, three designers from af83 – Aurélia, Nicolas and Laure – have organized a workshop about the user research with the Design and Digital Creation department.
On January 22, the 11 teams of students have presented their projects in front of the Bégin hospital representatives. af83 team attended this presentation and the shortlisting of the finalist projects.
Before that, Aurélia, Nicolas and Laure had met the students of the new Master in Design and Digital Creation, opened in September 2015. During a 3-hours workshop, they introduced them to the UX tools for user research and illustrated them with projects realized by the agency. Then, the students put these methodologies into practice with different journeys and three personas : a patient coming for a consultation, another for a hospitalization and a visitor.
For the final projects presentation, the students were able to handle and use these tools for the design of their own projects.
For us, this exchange was the opportunity to deal with the signage issues in a new sector : the hospital world. Aurélia, Nicolas and Laure explained a method to the students who were extremely receptive, and asked to do again the same kind of workshop. This project was the beginning of a partnership between the Design and Digital Creation departments from Estienne School, and af83.
