Louis, what did you think of the book?

“ “Smart” gives us a surprising and strongly documented vision on Internet usage, or more precisely of “the internets” as he calls them. Frédéric Martel shows us how local cultures use Internet to evolve, carry on, put down roots; how people use it their own ways and at the same time how some things doesn’t change whatever the country.”

So what thoughts did this meeting inspire to you?

“Approaching this subject by the use point of view is something we’re strongly familiar with at af83: any simple digital tool or connected object can be used in a thousand different ways- and we try to make them user-friendly, but mainly to guide their use towards something we can harness and we choose. That’s pretty much what User Experience is: what you feel and where you are after using a new object or application.”
